Father Matthew Arbuckle graduated from Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and was ordained in 2011.
He was assigned in Lafayette to St. Lawrence and St. Mary Cathedral for two years, then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, also for two years, before spending five years as pastor at St. Joan of Arc in Kokomo, the parish where he grew up.
His favorite saints are St. Joan of Arc, St. Bernadette, St. John Vianney and St. John Bosco.
In his free time, he enjoys reading or listening to Bishop Fulton Sheen, C.S. Lewis and Dr. Scott Hahn. He also enjoys shooting .22 and scaring Canada geese as much as possible.
